This privacy policy explains how Afrinet make use of client consent, collect, use, maintain and disclose personal data collected about you, including when you visit our website, and/or interact with us. The policy concerns any personal data collected in electronic format through our website and other online channels platforms as well as in hardcopy format and through verbal communication. The Policy further describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your personal data.

By visiting and or opening our domain and/or completing application forms and other forms, as applicable or using Afrinet client information systems and training management systems, you are indicating acceptance [you agree with this Privacy Notice and the processing of personal information described herein] of the terms of this Privacy Statement and conditions in use. The receipt of training information via various communication Medias, telephonic, sms/text messaging services, online communication and using automated technology into consent mode with Afrinet. Information we hold about you is that we obtain from you namely: 

 

  •  your name, and position/designation

  •  postal address and contact details including emails

  •  your academic history including qualifications;

  •  demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests

  •  payment details;

  •  technical and analytical information obtained through cookies “Personal Information” in accordance with Afrinet terminology refers to any information (paper or electronic) that can be used to distinguish, identifies an individual or a legal entity. Clients should note that the institute domain and website and web servers may generate temporary logs that may contain specific personal information: namely name, contact information and geolocation aspects, the IP address from which one accesses domain and website, internet address of the site you linked to Afrinet domain and website. In addition to this, the date and time you accessed our domain and website will also be noted, including personal aggregate information of our clients and partners. Primarily, Afrinet uses your information to provide you with the services available to you. Categorically, the fundamental purpose of collecting personal information during the enquiry and registration process is to allow the staff of Afrinet to develop effective training and assessment programs, in pursuance to meet client needs and simultaneously enhance the attainment of our goal of engineering global minds through effective-training, business advisory services and research and development.

 

Afrinet uses information collected from you for the following purposes:

• enabling the provision of training, business and research services

• enable our self to provide promotional information about our services

• Internal record keeping

• we may use the information to improve our products and services

Afrinet continues to monitor its computer networks, and independently test the strength of its security to aid clients and ensure the safety, confidential and privacy of individuals doing business with us. 

We will safeguard your personal data, including storing your personal data on secure servers and restricting access to your personal data to authenticated and approved staff. Despite these efforts to secure your data, we should be alert of the inherent risks associated with internet use. As a contingent measure, Afrinet has alternative ways of getting in touch with you. This include, for example making a physical call or use of WhatsApp or Post Office.

 

1.5  Client Rights

As our client, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access in knowing whether Afrinet is processing your personal information or not

  • Right of correction to correct any inaccurate personal information that it maintains about you

  • Right to erasure of information that is no longer relevant for Afrinet upon your request.

  • Right to restrict processing of Personal Information, where upon part of the information is inaccurate and you want it changed.

  •  Right to receive certification after completing 80% training Afrinet retains your information for the period relevant to the purpose for which that information was collected for., or we keep that information with your approval and consent and where your consent is our legal basis on which we process such data. Data that is to be retained is kept according to the policy framework herein alluded to. Thus retained information will be kept according to the law requirements or until the expiry of the statute of limitations. Afrinet allows you to access, correct and amend, correct or update any of your personal data and information, unsubscribe from mailing lists, terminate other data exchange or exercise your additional rights which include objecting to our processing or your data. Afrinet authorizes you to do through following the instructions or making use of the functionality on relevant pages of the website or sending us an email to training frinet.com You are advised that your personal data and information will remain available in paper documents generated prior to your request and in our back-ups systems. Afrinet will not share, rent, sell or otherwise provide personal information to third parties, such as your workplace or spouses, without your written consent. Afrinet will not sell or in any other way transmit your data to any third-party for commercial purposes without your express permission. We may however, share non-personally identifiable data with third-party providers to allow for quality control and continuous improvement of our online services and training and learning experiences. To perpetuate, keeping in contact with fellow participants, delegates attending training  may only collect information directly from fellow trainees during actual training if they so wish to, as Afrinet does not share personal data with other trainees .

1.6  Conclusion

Any material changes to this Policy, will be communicated to you either by placing a notice on our website, or by contacting you through the email address you present to us during your registration with us. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and we will from time to time update this Privacy Notice as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.
